Rucsu campaign begins today after publishing final list of candidates
The final list will be released this afternoon, after which campaigning will formally begin

Campaigning for the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (Rucsu) election has begun today (14 September), following the publication of the final list of candidates.
According to the schedule, the final list will be released this afternoon, after which campaigning will formally begin.
At 3:00pm, ballot numbers for each post will be allotted through a lottery at the university's Senate Bhaban, and the official campaign will start immediately afterward.
In the meantime, the Rucsu Election Commission and the candidates have completed all preparations.
On Saturday (13 September), after 14 candidates—including two for the vice-president (VP) post—withdrew their nominations, 248 candidates remained in the race for central union positions, 58 for Senate student representative posts, and about 600 for hall union elections across 17 residential halls.
This leaves 18 contenders for the Vice President (VP) post, 14 for General Secretary (GS), and 16 for Assistant General Secretary (AGS). Voting and result announcements are scheduled for 25 September.
Chief Election Commissioner Prof AF Nazrul Islam said eight academic buildings and the Senate Bhaban have been finalised as polling centres.
Meanwhile, candidates have so far announced 10 panels ahead of the election. The total number of registered voters stands at 28,905.
