Pakistan FM visits ailing Jamaat ameer at home
During the visit, Ishaq Dar appreciates the Jamaat ameer’s positive contribution in the fields of politics, education and social welfare

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar today (24 August) visited the residence of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, who is recovering from cardiac surgery.
"On behalf of the prime minister of Pakistan and his own behalf, he conveyed best wishes for the good health and well-being of Dr Rahman," said Pakistan foreign ministry in a Facebook post.
During the visit, Ishaq Dar also appreciated the Jamaat ameer's positive contribution in the fields of politics, education and social welfare.
The Pakistan foreign minister arrived in Dhaka yesterday afternoon (23 August) on a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, marking the first state visit to Bangladesh in 13 years.
Bangladesh and Pakistan signed an agreement, four memorandums of understanding (MoUs), and a cultural exchange programme in Dhaka today (24 August).
