No difference between group collecting NIDs, seizing postal ballots and past vote thieves: Tarique
“If the state is to be rebuilt, everyone must be united,” Tarique said.
BNP chairman Tarique Rahman has alleged that a "force" is collecting NID cards, taking women's mobile financial service numbers, and seizing expatriates' postal ballots, saying there is no difference between this force and the group that committed vote theft over the last 15 years.
Speaking in the early hours today (23 January) at an election rally at Panchruki Anwara Degree College in Araihazar, Narayanganj, Tarique called on everyone to stay alert against this conspiracy.
He also urged people to perform Fajr prayers in front of polling centres on voting day.
Tarique added that if the BNP forms government, it will carry out development work and prioritise Bangladesh.
He emphasised that everyone wants change and a safe situation, asking whether people were able to vote in the last 15 years.
"If the state is to be rebuilt, everyone must be united," Tarique said.
He outlined his election promises, saying the BNP wants to provide family cards to poor families so they can become self-reliant.
He said his party will work for farmers to ensure they get all kinds of facilities, arrange jobs for the unemployed, and provide training to make people skilled.
Tarique urged people to vote for the BNP, saying that only then will these plans be implemented.
