NCP delegation holds talks with Turkish deputy foreign minister on reforms, polls

A six-member delegation of the National Citizen Party (NCP) held a meeting with Turkey's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs A Berris Ekinci today (6 October) to discuss the overall situation in Bangladesh, including justice, reforms, and preparations for the upcoming elections.
The meeting took place at 7pm, led by NCP Convenor Nahid Islam, said Khan Muhammad Mursaleen, joint chief coordinator of the NCP.
The meeting focused on the government's preparations for holding free and fair elections, with detailed discussions on constitutional reforms.
The two sides also exchanged views on the formation of a Bangladesh-Turkey Joint Economic Commission, bilateral cooperation, youth exchange programmes, and the repatriation of Rohingya refugees, alongside broader national progress.
Nahid Islam thanked the deputy minister for visiting Bangladesh and expressed hope for further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The NCP delegation included Alauddin Mohammad, Sultan Mohammad Zakaria, Monira Sharmin, Nilima Dola, and Atik Mujahid.
