NCP delegation meets with European Union ambassadors, discusses reform agenda

A delegation from the National Citizen Party (NCP) met with the ambassadors and representatives of the European Union and eight European countries -Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, and Norway - today (15 April).
The NCP delegation, including Convener Nahid Islam and Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Jara, engaged in a wide-ranging discussion on Bangladesh's political landscape and the context that gave rise to the party, reads an NCP press statement.
The dialogue covered NCP's reform agenda and its strong commitment to particularly the need for accountability for human rights violations during the July Uprising and other violations and systemic abuses committed under the former regime.
Meanwhile, the EU representatives reaffirmed their support for Bangladesh's democratic transition.
The meeting was hosted by Michael Miller, ambassador and head of EU delegation to Bangladesh at the EU Residence in Dhaka.
