Legal action to be taken if disorder created at religious institutions: Minister
"We will try our best to fulfil this responsibility."
Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad has warned of immediate legal actions if anyone creates disorder at religious institutions.
"We will try our best to fulfil this responsibility. If anyone attempts to create disorder, legal action will be taken against them immediately," the minister said while speaking to journalists at his residence in Cumilla's Muradnagar today (20 February).
Expressing firm hope that prices of essential commodities will not increase during Ramadan, he said the prime minister has already instructed the Ministry of Commerce to keep prices under control.
"We are committed to controlling prices. The prime minister is very aware so that ordinary people do not suffer. I believe prices will not go beyond control," he said.
Regarding the increase in Hajj costs in recent years, Kaikobad said they will continue working under the prime minister's directive to ensure people can enjoy all facilities.
"They should be able to say that, by the grace of Allah, we are receiving better facilities than before," he added.
