Home adviser must resign over attack on Nur: Gono Odhikar’s Rashed Khan
They demanded a ban on Jatiyo Party

Gono Odhikar Parishad General Secretary Md Rashed Khan has demanded the resignation of the home affairs adviser over the attack on party president Nurul Haque Nur.
Leaders and activists of the Gono Odhikar Parishad blocked the Paltan intersection this afternoon (3 September), demanding the trial of attackers who targeted party leaders including its president Nurul Haque Nur.
Speaking at the event, Rashed Khan said, "The attack on leaders including Nurul Haque Nur is not only an attack on him but on the people's uprising itself. The home affairs adviser must take responsibility and resign."
Demanding ban on 14 parties including the Jatiyo Party, Rashed said, "Awami League and Jatiyo Party are not genuine Bangladeshi parties —they act under external influence. If other leaders like Rashed Khan Menon and Hasanul Haque Inu are arrested, why is GM Quader still free? Who is protecting him?"
He announced that they will hold a solidarity rally at Shahbagh Museum on Friday at 3pm under the banner of 'Anti-Fascist Unity.'
Rashed Khan expressed regret over the road blockade, saying it was necessary to get the government's attention. "Cold words do not reach their ears, which is why our leaders and activists blocked the road today."
