Another left-leaning coalition announces panel ahead of Ducsu polls
More names would be added to the 15-member panel later

Three left-leaning student organisations have announced a panel named 'Aparajeyo 71-Odomyo 24' to contest the upcoming Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) elections.
The panel is a coalition of a faction of the Bangladesh Students' Union (BSU), Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, and Bangladesh Chhatra League-BCL (the student wing of Bangladesh Jasad).
The announcement was made at a press conference at Madhur Canteen on campus today (20 August) by Mahir Shahriar Reza, president of the BSU faction.
Earlier on Tuesday, another left coalition comprising Bangladesh Chhatra Union, Socialist Students' Front, Biplobi Chhatra Moitri, Chhatra Council, Chhatra Juba Andolon, Pahari Chhatra Parishad, and Gonotantrik Chhatra Moncho announced a panel.
That panel is being led by Sheikh Tasnim Afroz Emi, former vice-president of Shamsun Nahar Hall Students' Union, who will run for the position of vice president (VP). Meghmallar Bosu, Dhaka University unit president of Bangladesh Chhatra Union, has been nominated for the position of general secretary (GS), while Md Jabir Ahmed Jubel, general secretary of Biplobi Chhatra Moitri, will contest for assistant general secretary (AGS).
Besides, Chhatra Federation has announced another partial 11-member panel which nominated Federation leader Armanul Hoque for AGS.
The nominated candidates for the latest left panel are Naim Hasan Hridoy from the Department of Communication Disorders for the post of VP, Enamul Hasan Onoy from the Department of Political Science for the GS position, and Aditi Islam from the Department of Philosophy for the AGS post.
It was announced at the press conference that more names would be added to the 15-member panel later.
