Chhatra Dal hall committees at Dhaka University will stay: President Rakib
“The university administration has shown reluctance toward secret student politics. They have assured us they will work to stop it. As a conscious student organisation, we assured our cooperation,” he says

The Chhatra Dal's recently announced hall committees at Dhaka University will remain in place, the organisation's Central President Rakibul Islam Rakib said today (14 August).
Speaking to reporters after a courtesy meeting with the DU vice-chancellor (VC), he said, "A 13-member Chhatra Dal delegation met the VC to discuss the future of student politics in DU halls, on campus, and around the Dhaka University Central Students' Union [Ducsu]."
"The university administration has shown reluctance toward secret student politics. They have assured us they will work to stop it. As a conscious student organisation, we assured our cooperation," Rakib added.
He expressed hope that by Saturday the administration would update them on banning secret student politics on campus, defining the nature of hall-based politics, and taking legal action against "banned Chhatra League terrorists" on DU grounds.
Criticising Islami Chhatra Shibir, Rakib alleged that they were attempting to take control of halls through covert politics, similar to how Chhatra League had occupied them in the past.
He further said the university administration has assured them it will investigate those responsible for cyberbullying, creating instability through secret politics, and fostering a toxic campus culture.
