Want a one-on-one with Tarique Rahman? Win BNP reel contest
It is open to participants of all ages, both in Bangladesh and abroad, and will run until 25 December
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today (16 December) launched a social media reel-making competition to mark the anticipated homecoming of its Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
Titled "Amar Bhabnay Bangladesh" (Bangladesh in My Thoughts), the initiative aims to provide a platform for people to share their ideas and aspirations for the country, with selected winners offered the opportunity for a one-on-one interaction with Tarique Rahman.
The announcement was made at a press conference held at the BNP's election office in Gulshan.
Speaking to journalists, Tarique Rahman's adviser Mahdi Amin said that 10 winners would be selected through the competition.
The contest has identified 11 thematic areas, including family cards, farmer cards, employment, education, the environment, sports and other key national issues.
It is open to participants of all ages, both in Bangladesh and abroad, and will run until 25 December.
Participants are required to create a one-minute reel reflecting their vision for Bangladesh and upload it to the designated event on the BNP's official Facebook page.
According to the organisers, winners will be selected through a combined evaluation process, with 30% based on public voting and 70% determined by a jury board.
Mahdi Amin said the initiative seeks to capture the thoughts, expectations and dreams of people across all age groups, particularly the younger generation.
He expressed hope that the competition would help project visions of a future Bangladesh through social media.
