Argentine Ambassador Marcelo Carlos Sessa met with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at his office in the capital's Bashundhara today (30 September), where they discussed the overall situation in Bangladesh and bilateral relations, investment, international relations, and other issues of mutual interest.
The ambassador reiterated Argentina's strong support for Bangladesh. They also expressed hope that bilateral economic relations and development between the two countries will continue to grow.
At the beginning of the meeting, he inquired about the health of Dr Shafiqur Rahman and wished him good health.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Secretary-General Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair and the party chief's foreign affairs adviser, Dr Mahmudul Hasan.
