318 nomination forms collected for Rucsu elections
Deadline for nomination paper collection ended yesterday

A total of 318 nomination forms were sold till yesterday (31 August) evening against various posts in the upcoming Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (Rucsu) elections, said Rucsu Chief Returning Officer Prof Setaur Rahman.
Sunday was the last day for collecting nominations forms.
Of the 318 candidates, 18 collected nomination forms for the position of vice president, seven for general secretary, eight for assistant general secretary, two for debate and literary secretary, four for assistant debate and literary secretary, five for media and publications secretary, three for assistant media and publications secretary, five for cultural affairs secretary, six for assistant cultural affairs secretary, 12 for environment and social welfare secretary, and 10 for assistant environment and social welfare secretary.
In addition, nomination papers have been collected by five candidates for the position of women affairs secretary, three for assistant women affairs secretary, three for science and technology affairs secretary, six for assistant science and technology affairs secretary, nine for information and research affairs secretary, four for assistant information and research secretary, seven for sports and games affairs secretary, three for assistant sports affairs secretary and 40 for executive member.
Besides, a total of 69 candidates have collected nomination forms for five student representative positions in the RU Senate.
Additionally, at least 400 candidates have collected nomination forms for RU dormitory parliament elections, a source from Rucsu Election Commission told TBS.
