3 BNP leaders suspended for breaching party discipline in Chattogram
The suspended leaders reportedly led a blockade on the Sitakunda stretch of the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway on 3 November in protest over a nomination dispute
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has suspended three leaders from its Chattogram north district unit and its affiliated bodies for violating party discipline.
The suspension covers their primary membership and all party positions and was announced yesterday (7 November) in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The suspended leaders are Kamal Kader, convener of the Sitakunda upazila BNP, Md Morsalin, former president of the Chattogram north district Jatiotabadi Swecchasebak Dal, and Korban Ali Shahed, member secretary of the Sitakunda upazila Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal.
The party said the action was taken against them for engaging in activities that go against the BNP's policies and organisational discipline.
