12-party alliance accuses Awami League of instigating chaos to destabilise the country
“There is no alternative but to suppress these miscreants with an iron hand.” The alliance said

The 12-party alliance has strongly condemned the banned Awami League and its affiliated groups, accusing them of engaging in deliberate efforts to destabilise the country through violence and anarchy.
In a statement released today (16 July), the alliance's Coordinator, Syed Ehsanul Huda, labeled the Awami League as a "banned fascist organisation" and expressed deep concern over the recent attacks in Gopalganj.
Referring to the violent attack on the National Citizen Party's (NCP) pre-announced "March to Gopalganj" programme, the alliance described it as a "heinous and brutal assault" carried out by "fallen fascist terrorists aligned with the Awami League."
"This rise in lawlessness reflects the desperate attempts of the regime's collaborators to trap the interim government and the country into a state of disarray," the statement reads.
"There is no alternative but to suppress these miscreants with an iron hand." The alliance said.
Through the statement, the alliance stressed the need for national unity beyond party lines, calling on all citizens — regardless of political affiliation or profession — to unite in defence of democracy and voting rights, and to resist the re-emergence of fascism in Bangladesh.
"Failure to do so would once again place the nation's independence and sovereignty at grave risk," the statement added.
