PM Tarique begins NY engagements with UN chief's breakfast reception

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman began his day today (22 September) by attending a breakfast reception hosted by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres for world leaders and their spouses at the UN headquarters in New York.
The breakfast was held at the North Dialogue Lounge at 8am local time, said Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu.
Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman attended the reception, where the UN secretary-general exchanged greetings with them, he said.

The Prime Minister arrived in New York yesterday evening (21 September) to attend the 81st session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
After breakfast, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to attend the opening session of the UNGA and hold a series of meetings with heads of government and state on the sidelines of the session.
He is scheduled to deliver his speech at the General Debate of the 81st UN General Assembly on Thursday afternoon (24 September).
