Yao Wen bids farewell as Bangladesh-China ties in focus.
Outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen today (22 September) paid farewell calls on Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad and Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal.
During the meetings, Ambassador Yao expressed appreciation for the importance Bangladesh Parliament has long attached to China-Bangladesh relations and for the support he received during his tenure.
He said China stands ready to work with Bangladesh to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two legislative bodies, and advance the China-Bangladesh community with a shared future in the new era to greater depth and substance.

The leaders of the Bangladesh Parliament spoke highly of Ambassador Yao's contributions to promoting friendship between the two countries during his tenure.
They emphasised that Bangladesh attaches great importance to developing relations with China, firmly adheres to the One-China principle and is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in legislative and other fields to bring greater benefits to the people of both countries.
