One tonne of wheat flour to be sold in each Upazila
People will be able to buy unpackaged wheat flour at the designated sale-points for Tk24 per kg

The Ministry of Food has taken the initiative to sell rice and atta (wheat flour) at subsidised rates in every Upazila of the country, starting from 1 September.
Under this scheme, one tonne of atta will be sold in each Upazila, allowing people to purchase it at Tk24 per kilogram, said a press release.
Various initiatives are underway to keep commodity prices stable and ensure affordable food for low-income groups, it added.
The release also said that in addition to the ongoing Open Market Sale (OMS) of rice and wheat flour at subsidised prices in city corporations, densely populated districts or Upazilas, and district headquarters Pourashava, from 1 September, the government will begin selling one tonne of wheat flour every working day at the Upazila-level as part of the expanded programme.
