Stamford University observes 8th death anniversary of Dr Hannan Feroz
Stamford University Bangladesh observed the 8th death anniversary of its founder, Professor Dr M. A. Hannan Feroz, with due respect and solemnity on its campus today.
The day's programme began with a Qur'an recitation session in the morning, followed by a special prayer and Milad Mahfil in the afternoon at the university auditorium, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of the distinguished educationist.
Professor Dr Md Yunus Mia, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh; Registrar Muhammad Abdul Matin; department chairmen; faculty members; officials; and staff attended the event.
Speakers paid deep tribute to Professor Dr Hannan Feroz, describing him as a visionary educationist and a pioneer in expanding higher education in Bangladesh. They noted that Stamford University's current reputation as one of the country's leading private universities stands as a testament to his foresight, dedication, and leadership.
Reflecting on his life and contributions, the speakers said Professor Feroz was not only an academic but also a compassionate and socially committed individual who inspired generations of students with his ideals of knowledge, morality, and patriotism.
A special dua was conducted by the Imam of the university mosque, praying for the eternal peace of the departed founder. Throughout the day, students, teachers, and staff members paid their respects and reflected on his enduring legacy.
On this solemn occasion, the Stamford community fondly remembered Professor Dr Hannan Feroz and reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling his vision of building a Bangladesh dedicated to education and human welfare.
