Neo-Jama'atul Mujahedeen Bangladesh member Farid Uddin Rumi, who was arrested recently from a militant den in Fatullah area of Narayanganj, today confessed his involvement in an attack on cops in capital's Gulistan.

Rumi made the statement under section 164 before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ashek Iman as police produced him before the court after end of his four-day remand and pleaded to record his statement.

Allowing the plea, the court recorded Rumi's statement and sent him to jail.
