Nearly 1000 institutions named after Hasina, family in 16 years; most renamed

A total of 977 infrastructures and institutions were named after ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her family and Awami League politicians in 16 years, according to the Chief Adviser's Press Wing.
These establishments include cantonments, air bases, naval ships, mega bridges, roads, facilities, schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, research centers and various institutions.
"Most of these institutions have already been renamed. The work of renaming the remaining institutions is in the process," said a statement of CA's press wing.
