NCP leader Akhtar receives death threat
However, it was not known who had sent the letter to Akhtar’s family

Some unidentified individuals have sent a letter to the house of the National Citizen Party's Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, threatening him and his family members with death.
"In the letter sent by post, some unidentified people have threatened me and my family with murder. The pseudonym of the sender is 'Bullet'. The postmaster gave the letter to my elder brother on Friday," Akhtar wrote on a Facebook post around 10:15pm last night (17 May).
Stating that his family members are worried since reading the letter, Akhtar added, "The threats said we will be killed wherever we could be found, that problems will be created wherever they could find us. "
"I am leading a bonus life. Death has approached me several times and returned. I didn't back down from protesting, knowing that death is certain. And I'll never backtrack. Allah is my last resort, InshaAllah," Akhtar further said.
However, it was not known who had sent the letter to Akhtar's family.
Talking to Prothom Alo, Akhtar Akhtar said the unnamed letter was sent to his village house at Rangpur's Kaunia upazila on Friday. He said he will file a general diary with the local police station in Rangpur over the matter.
