NBR enables election aspirants to file online tax returns
The service will remain operational even on holidays
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has made special arrangements to facilitate the online submission of income tax returns by individuals intending to contest the upcoming national parliamentary election.
To simplify the process for prospective candidates, the NBR, with support from the e-Tax Management Unit, has set up a dedicated helpdesk at the e-Tax Management Unit office, according to a statement issued today (25 December).
The helpdesk will provide assistance related to online tax return filing, including technical and procedural support.
The service will remain operational even on holidays to ensure greater convenience for aspiring candidates.
Additionally, the helpdesk will continue to offer services during regular office hours on 28 and 29 December.
The initiative aims to ease compliance with income tax requirements for election candidates within the stipulated timeframe.
