Bangladesh Navy and the Coast Guard in a joint operation raided the house of suspected criminal Harun Dakat in Alikhali under Hnila union of Teknaf upazila yesterday night (2 April).

During the raid, law enforcers recovered a locally made firearm, six rounds of live ammunition, five sharp weapons, over Tk30 lakh in cash, gold ornaments, multiple cheque books, and 20 SIM cards, according to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The recovered items have been handed over to Teknaf Police Station, while the process of transferring the seized cash and gold to the Teknaf Customs Office is underway, it said.

It also added that the navy continues to conduct regular operations in key areas to maintain law and order across the country.
