Addressing the programme's inaugural function, Mahbub Hossain said the BNCC develops students as human beings who are engaged in creating mass awareness and developing the country.

He also vowed to provide the necessary support to further expand the BNCC because it is a platform to be a good citizen.

Brigadier General Nahidul Islam Khan, director general of BNCC, said, "Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been carrying out these activities in 64 districts to create mass awareness across the country."

The organisation has arranged voluntary blood donation activities and registration for Covid-19 vaccination at the Shahid Sergeant Rumi Bhaban for 10 days.

Free eye examinations, primary health care and diabetes tests are also being provided at the temporary camp set up in front of the building.

Prof Nehal Ahmed, chairman of Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, graced the programme as its special guest.  Lieutenant Colonel Rahat Newaz, commander of BNCC Ramna Regiment, major Abdus Samad and about 200 cadets of BNCC platoon from various educational institutions in Dhaka city were also present.
