Mirza Fakhrul sees stronger Bangladesh-KOICA relations
Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, MP, today (11 May) expressed optimism that the existing friendly relations and development cooperation between Bangladesh and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) would be further strengthened in the coming days.
He expressed optimism when KOICA Country Director Jihoon KIM paid a courtesy call on him at his ministry office at the Secretariat this morning.
During the meeting, they discussed in detail the progress of ongoing development projects between Bangladesh and KOICA, plans, and various issues relating to cooperation.
The meeting also discussed different aspects of cooperation and the possibility of undertaking new projects on poverty alleviation, climate change adaptation, and construction of climate-resilient infrastructure, agricultural expansion, and sustainable rural development.
KOICA Bangladesh Deputy Country Director Junsu KIM was present on the occasion.
Rural Development and Cooperatives Division Secretary Mohammad Showkat Rashid Chowdhury and relevant officials, among others, were present at the meeting.
