Minni in Dhaka for legal advice and treatment
Minni's father claimed that the painkillers provided in jail badly damaged her daughter’s health
Ayesha Siddika Minni — accused in sensational Rifat murder case and also the widow of the victim — has come to the capital for medical treatment and legal advice.
Minni and her father Mozammel Hossain Kishore reached Dhaka on Sunday morning and met lawyer ZI Khan Panna's at his chamber at around 10:30 am on the day.
President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Advocate AM Aminuddin also joined Panna and they counselled Minni. Later, the widow's father Kishore and lawyer Panna talked to the press.

"We have come to the capital basically to take legal advice from ZI Khan Panna sir," said Kishore adding, "Besides, Minni is sick. Police tortured her in the name of remand. She is suffering from the trauma, and pain at her knees and chest."
"We will see a doctor. She immediately needs better treatment," he said.
He also claimed the painkillers provided in jail badly damaged her daughter's health.
Meantime, ZI Khan Panna claimed that the charge-sheet submitted by the police against Minni is fabricated and that it is aimed at incriminating her in the case.
The lawyer said, "Minni needed to consult doctors and lawyers before giving any statement. The statement she gave seems to be too polished and well-written to be recorded in the jail."
Responding to a question on whether an appeal will be filed seeking withdrawal of the previous statement, ZI Khan Panna said that it had already been withdrawn by Minni while she was in jail.
He also commented that the media release of Minni's statement was "unlawful and a slur".
Rifat Sharif was chopped to death in broad daylight on June 26. In a video footage spread in social media, Minni was seen trying in vain to save her husband.
She was made the 7th accused in the murder case filed subsequently.
