Milestone Tragedy: Victims' families demand school relocation from runway zone
They also urged the government to impose a financial penalty on Milestone College authorities to provide compensation for the victims’ families

The families of victims of the Milestone School and College plane crash today (26 August) called for a series of urgent actions, including the relocation of the institution from the runway area.
Speaking at a press conference held at the National Press Club, victim Fatema's uncle Leon Mir, Tanvir's father Rubel, and Mariam Umme Afia's mother pressed for a fair investigation and justice against Milestone College, accusing it of violating rules and endangering students through its coaching business.
They demanded a nationwide ban on coaching operations in all educational institutions, alongside strict legal action against those running such businesses.
The families urged the government to impose a financial penalty on Milestone College authorities to provide compensation for the victims' families, and to release the institution's CCTV footage to expose the true circumstances of the tragedy.
They also called for the removal and prosecution of teachers who have been spreading falsehoods and abusive comments on social media, and demanded government steps to end harassment of bereaved families.
In addition, they sought the relocation of Air Force training activities to uninhabited areas, as well as the implementation of government compensation in line with a lawyer's public-interest writ.
The families stressed that only through these measures can justice be served and future tragedies prevented.
