Milestone plane crash: 15 critically burned, 6 in ICU at national burn institute

At least 15 people have suffered burns covering more than 30% of their bodies, and six others remain in critical condition in the ICU after a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into a building on the Milestone College campus in Diabari, Uttara today (21 July).
The crash, followed by a massive explosion and fire, left at least 19 dead and over 160 injured.
According to sources at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, six victims have been admitted to the ICU. Among them is nine-year-old Nafis, who sustained 95% burns. The others in ICU include 14-year-old Shamim, Sayem Yusuf, Mahiya, Afnan Fayaz, and Samia.
Several others have sustained major burn injuries as well. Nawrin suffered 30% burns, while nine-year-old Masuma got burns on 60% of her body. Tasnia sustained 35% burns. Fourteen-year-old Ayon has burns over 60% of his body, and 13-year-old Mahtab sustained 80% burns. Makin, 15, has 62% burns, while 11-year-old Arian suffered 55%.
Fifteen-year-old Axion and 46-year-old Mehrin Chowdhury both suffered 100% burns. Nineteen-year-old Rohan was burned on 50% of his body, and 13-year-old Nazia on 80%. Forty-year-old Chan Mia suffered 40% burns. Abir has 20% burns, 32-year-old Masum has 60%, and Tasnia sustained 35%.
