Microbus driver stabbed to death in Ctg’s Hathazari
According to locals, three to four assailants engaged Mahbub in an argument in the Kalabagan area in the early hours of the day. The altercation escalated, and the attackers stabbed him before fleeing the scene.
A man was stabbed to death in Hathazari upazila of Chattogram in the early hours today (11 January).
The deceased, Mahbub Alam, 36, a microbus driver, was killed around 4am in the Kalabagan area under Hathazari municipality.
Confirming the matter, Hathazari Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jahidur Rahman said police were working to identify and arrest those involved in the killing.

Hearing his screams, nearby residents rushed to the spot and took the critically injured Mahbub to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police said they visited the scene after being informed of the incident and the body has been sent to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The killing triggered protests by leaders and activists of the Microbus Drivers' Association. They staged a demonstration on the Chattogram-Rangamati road in the Kolatoli area today, demanding justice and exemplary punishment for those responsible.
