Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, editor-in-chief of the Daily Manab Zamin, has been elected president of the Newspaper Owners' Association of Bangladesh (Noab), according to a notification issued today (14 March).
Chairman of Noab Election Board M Masrur Reaz announced the new committee for the 2026-2027 term, whose members were elected unopposed at a meeting held earlier in the day.
Other office-bearers include Vice-President ASM Shahidullah Khan, chairman of the editorial board of New Age; and Treasurer Altamash Kabir, publisher of Dainik Sangbad.
