Marma youth shot dead by gunmen in Chattogram's Rangunia

A Marma youth was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram while returning home from his in-laws' house.
The incident occurred around 11:30am today (20 June) in the Khaindar Kul area of Sarafbhata union in the upazila.
The victim has been identified as Shushai Marma, 42, son of Chingchala Marma from Barkhola Para in Sarafbhata.
South Rangunia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sabbir Mohammad Selim confirmed the incident, saying, "We recovered the body from the scene and brought it to the station. There is a visible bullet wound near the victim's chest. The identity of the attackers is yet to be determined."
The body will be sent for autopsy, and legal procedures are underway to identify and apprehend those responsible, the officer added.
According to local sources, Shushai had gone to his in-laws' house in Chandraghona Raikhali with his wife the day before.
This morning, he was on his way back home alone after leaving his wife at her parents' house. When he reached the Khaindar Kul area, unidentified gunmen shot him and fled the scene.
Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
