Maritime ports asked to lower cautionary signal
The met office yesterday advised maritime ports to keep hoisting the local cautionary signal 3 as a deep depression hit the coast and caused heavy rainfall across the country

The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to lower local cautionary signals as squally weather is unlikely over the maritime ports, north bay and adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department issued a notice with the bulletin today (31 May).
The met office yesterday (30 May) advised maritime ports to keep hoisting the local cautionary signal 3 as a deep depression hit the coast and caused heavy rainfall across the country.
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay were advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
In a separate inland river ports' warning bulletin yesterday (30 May), the river ports were asked to hoist cautionary signal number one.
The warning for inland river ports remained valid until 9am this morning.
