Man, who lost leg during clash in Brahmanbaria, dies at DMCH

A person, whose leg was cut off during a clash between two groups in Brahmanbaria's Nabinagar, has died early today at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The deceased is- Mobarok Miah, 45, hailing from Thanakandi village of Nabinagar.
Additional Police Superintendent (Administration and crime) of Brahmanbaria Md Alamgir Hossain confirmed the matter.
On April 12, at least 30 people were injured in a clash between two groups over establishing supremacy in Thanakandi village under Krishnagar Union Parishad of the upazila.
According to local people, there was a longstanding rivalry between Krishnagar Union Parishad Chairman Jillur Rahman and Abu Kausar Molla, a resident of Thanakandi village. Members of the two groups clashed on Sunday (April 12) morning. One party cut off a leg of Mobarok Miah and then carried it out in a victory rally. Besides, several houses was vandalised and set on fire during the clash.
Police arrested 42 people including Jillur Rahman and Abu Kausar Molla over the clash. Police filed a case over the incident.
