Man lynched over killing of madrasah teacher in Satkhira
Raju was reportedly mentally unstable and under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident.

A man was beaten to death by locals after he allegedly killed a madrasah teacher in Shahpur area of Tala upazila in Satkhira today (20 July).
The deceased, Shariful Islam Gazi, 48, was the son of Alimuddin Gazi from Hariharnagar village. He served as a teacher in the Hifz section of Shahpur Dawatul Quran Hafizia Madrasah.
The man lynched in retaliation was identified as Raju Gazi, 38, son of Khokon Gazi from Shahpur village.
Tala Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moin Uddin Islam said, "After the madrasah teacher was killed, villagers beat the attacker, Raju Gazi, to death. Both bodies have been recovered."
According to locals, Raju was disturbing a student at the madrasah around noon when Shariful asked him to stop and return home. In response, Raju allegedly attacked Shariful from behind with a wooden stick, repeatedly striking his head until he died on the spot.
Raju was reportedly mentally unstable and under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident.
Soon after, enraged locals from nearby villages gathered and beat Raju to death at the scene.
