Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hasan assumed responsibility as the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division yesterday (22 August), according to a press release from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

As per the release, the newly appointed PSO was adorned with the rank badge of Lieutenant General by the chiefs of army and navy in the presence of Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus at the state guest house Jamuna.

Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan was also present, said an ISPR release here today.

Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan was commissioned in Corps of Infantry in Bangladesh Army on December 22, 1989.

He was also discharged his responsibilities as commandant of Bangladesh Military Academy, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Bangladesh Army, area commander of Rangpur area.
