Testimony continues in crimes against humanity case against Hasina, others

Today is the sixth day of recording testimonies at the International Crimes Tribunal in the case against Sheikh Hasina and others over crimes against humanity during the July Uprising.

So far, 12 witnesses have testified in the case. On Monday, three family members of martyrs—whose bodies were burned in Ashulia—gave their statements, describing the brutality committed during the uprising. They demanded exemplary punishment for Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Obaidul Quader, and several police officials. On that day, former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, who has turned state witness, was also produced before the tribunal.
Meanwhile, the tribunal is also set to hear the fourth day of testimony today in a separate case over the killing of six people in Chankharpul. The accused have already been produced before the court, and six witnesses have testified in the case so far.
