DMP's DC Masud transferred as Ctg SP
An officer of the 28th batch of the BCS police cadre, Masud is currently serving as DC of Ramna Division under DMP.
The government has transferred Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Masud Alam as superintendent of police of Chattogram district.
The Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the transfer in a notification issued today (5 May).
An officer of the 28th batch of the BCS police cadre, Masud is currently serving as DC of Ramna Division under DMP.

During his tenure in Ramna Division, he came into discussion over several significant incidents and was appreciated in professional circles for his role in maintaining law and order.
In particular, his role in controlling various protest programmes centred on different demands in areas such as State Guest House Jamuna, the Secretariat, the High Court and Dhaka University's TSC following the 2024 July Uprising was considered significant from an administrative perspective, according to relevant sources.
Earlier, he served as additional superintendent of police in Pabna district and also worked at the Jhenaidah camp of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6).
Masud hails from Bogura and completed his graduation from Dhaka University.
