9 police inspectors sent on forced retirement

The Ministry of Home Affairs has sent nine police inspectors on compulsory retirement, citing public interest.
The decision was announced in a circular issued by the ministry's Public Security Division today (10 August), referring to Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018.
However, the circular did not specify the reasons behind the action.
The officers who have been sent on compulsory retirement are Inspector Shikdar Md Shamim Hossain, Md Abdul Latif, SM Kamruzzaman, Md Abul Kuddus Fakir, Mohammad Mamun Or Rashid, Md Nurul Islam, Md Kamal Hossain, Md Selimuzzaman, and Md Abu Bakar Siddique.
All of them were unarmed police inspectors.
