66 benches formed in High Court after vacation
Among them are 33 single-judge benches and 33 double-judge benches.
After the December vacation, a total of 66 benches have been formed today to conduct judicial proceedings in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.
The list of the 66 benches, formed under the directive of Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury, was published on the Supreme Court's website. Among them are 33 single-judge benches and 33 double-judge benches. Judicial activities in these benches will begin from tomorrow (4 January).
On the same day, Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury will conduct judicial proceedings for the first time as Chief Justice in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
On Sunday (4 January) at 10:30 am, the Supreme Court Bar Association will accord a reception to the Chief Justice in courtroom No. 1 of the Appellate Division.
Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury took oath as the 26th Chief Justice of the country on 28 December.
