Kushtia Jamaat leader Abul Hashem dies mid-speech at public gathering
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Majlis-e-Shura member and Kushtia district Ameer Professor Abul Hashem passed away after suffering a stroke while delivering a speech at a public programme today (19 January).
In a condolence message, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman said Abul Hashem had devoted his life to the cause of Islam and remained actively engaged in the Islamic movement until his final moments.
"His contributions, sacrifices and leadership will be remembered forever by the organisation," he added.
Party leaders described Abul Hashem as a long-standing, active member of Jamaat-e-Islami, widely respected for his honesty, dedication, and commitment to Islamic principles and organisational work.
