Kishoreganj's Pagla Mosque collects record Tk12.09cr in donations in 4 months
On 12 April, the donation boxes of the Pagla Mosque yielded over Tk9.17 crore.

The authorities of Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj collected a record amount of Tk12.09 crore from its donation boxes today (30 August).
The mosque's 14 donation boxes were opened around 7am today, after four months and 18 days.
After the counting was completed, Kishoreganj Additional Deputy Commissioner Mizabe Rahmat disclosed the collected amount to reporters around 7:45pm.
Members of the mosque management committee, teachers and students of the madrasa and orphanage located in the mosque complex, students of the nearby Jamia Emdadia Madrasa, and officials and staff of Rupali Bank took part in the counting.
Ershadul Ahmed, additional district magistrate of Kishoreganj and convener of the committee responsible for opening the boxes, said cash from the donation boxes was stored in 32 sacks for counting. Foreign currencies and gold ornaments were also found in the boxes.
Earlier, on 12 April, the donation boxes of the Pagla Mosque yielded Tk9.17 crore, along with foreign currencies and gold ornaments.
