Journalist's body recovered from under Khulna’s Rupsha bridge

The body of journalist Wahed-Uz-Zaman Bulu, the Khulna correspondent for Dainik Protidiner Sangbad, was recovered from beneath the Khan Jahan Ali Bridge, commonly known as the Rupsha Bridge, in Khulna.
The body was found around 9pm last night (31 August) near the base of pillar number 2 of the bridge.
According to eyewitnesses, Bulu was seen jumping from the bridge. Authorities were notified immediately after the incident.
Sub-Inspector Rahim, in-charge of the Labanchara Police Outpost, stated that upon receiving information from locals, he visited the scene and referred the case to the river police due to the body being in the water.
SI Bellah Hossain of the Rupsha River Police Outpost reported that at the time of recovery, Bulu was wearing navy blue gabardine pants and a sky-blue t-shirt. His right hand and face were found to be injured. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
