Joint forces arrest ex-MP Salahuddin from Jashore

The joint forces have arrested former member of parliament Major Gen (retd) Salahuddin Miazi and detained his brother-in-law Jakir Hossain from a park in Jashore.
The two were apprehended by the joint forces from Rudrapur village in Jashore Sadar yesterday (18 February).
"Upon receiving information that Salahuddin and Jakir had been staying at Shyamol Chaya Park, locals cordoned off the area," said Kazi Babul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station in Jashore.
"After being informed of the matter, joint forces went to the spot at around 11:20pm and took the two into their custody. Later, Salahuddin was shown arrested in a case filed over vandalising BNP's Jhenidah district office and handed over to Jhenidah Sadar Police Station at around 12:30am," the OC added.
Confirming the matter, Abdullah Al Mamun, officer-in-charge of Jhenidah Sadar Police Station, said, "Former MP Salahuddin has been handed over to us after his arrest from Jashore."
