Among the injured students, five were taken to Dhaka National Medical College Hospital (DNMC) and three to Mitford Hospital in Old Dhaka

Several students of Jagannath University were assaulted in Dholaikhal, Dhaka, last night (3 March), leaving eight injured.
The incident sparked tensions in the area.
Among the injured students, five were taken to Dhaka National Medical College Hospital (DNMC) and three to Mitford Hospital in Old Dhaka.
Wari police personnel arrived at the scene around 1am to bring the situation under control.
"Some university students were walking through the Dholaikhal area when one of them accidentally stepped on a construction site. This led to an argument with some locals, which later escalated into an attack led by 38 no ward BNP leader Shahidul," said Harunur Rashid, Wari Division Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Following the attack, a large number of Jagannath University students gathered at the scene and later surrounded Shahidul's house. Subsequently, members of the university's proctorial body searched his residence but did not find him there.
Attempts were made to contact Shahidul for his comments, but his phone remained switched off throughout the night.
No case has been filed regarding the attack yet.
"Legal action will be taken upon receiving a formal complaint," police said.
