The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has renamed 'Bangabandhu Avenue' in Gulistan as 'Abrar Fahad Avenue' as part of renaming various structures named after Awami League leaders, including Sheikh Hasina, and their family members.

The decision was made during the 4th meeting of a subcommittee of the city corporation on naming roads, buildings, and installations held on 19 February, with approval from the local government division on 20 March, according to a DSCC press release issued yesterday (25 March).
