Indian Visa Application Centre operations suspended in Ctg until further notice
The suspension will remain in force until further notice, IVAC Bangladesh said in a statement published on its official website
Operations of the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) in Chattogram have been suspended from today (21 December) due to the prevailing security situation surrounding the Indian Assistant High Commission in the port city.
The suspension will remain in force until further notice, IVAC Bangladesh said in a statement published on its official website.
"Due to recent security incident at AHCI Chittagong, Indian visa operations at IVAC Chittagong will remain suspended from 21/12/2025 until further notice. The announcement for reopening the visa center will be made after reviewing the situation."
Earlier, IVAC operations at Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka were suspended from 2pm last Wednesday, citing the "ongoing security situation".
That day, July Oikya had announced a march to the Indian High Commission, but police later foiled the programme.
Normal operations at the Dhaka IVAC resumed the following morning.
