Hotline launched for Middle East-bound workers amid flight suspension
The ministry has asked affected workers to contact the toll-free hotline 16135 for round-the-clock information and support.
The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has launched a hotline to assist workers intending to travel to the Middle East following the suspension of flights due to the Iran-Israel conflict.
In a press release today (1 March), the ministry said all flights bound for the Middle East remain suspended because of the ongoing war situation between Iran and Israel.
Workers whose flights have been cancelled and whose visas are nearing expiry have been requested to seek assistance through the hotline.
Under the directive of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury, the ministry has asked affected workers to contact the toll-free hotline 16135 for round-the-clock information and support.
