Measles: Death toll at 758 as 5 more children die
Nearly 900 new suspected infections were reported, according to the latest Directorate General of Health Services data.

Five more children died from measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours until 8am today (12 July), raising Bangladesh's combined tally of confirmed and suspected measles-related deaths to 758.
According to the latest data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the number of suspected measles deaths has risen to 664, while laboratory-confirmed deaths now stand at 94.

The country also recorded 879 new suspected measles cases during the reporting period, taking the cumulative number of suspected infections to 111,480.
Meanwhile, 90 new laboratory-confirmed cases were reported, bringing the total number of confirmed measles infections nationwide to 13,500.
DGHS data show that since 15 March, a total of 94,340 patients with suspected measles have been hospitalised across the country.
Of them, 90,605 have recovered, according to the health authorities.
