Dengue claims 3 more lives, 994 hospitalised in a day
All three deaths were reported in Dhaka, with two in Dhaka South and one in Dhaka North during the latest reporting period.
Three people died of dengue and 994 new patients were hospitalised across Bangladesh in the 24 hours till 8am today (24 August), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest fatalities take the country's dengue death toll this year to 85, while the total number of reported cases has reached 29,923.
Of the three deaths reported during the period, one occurred in Dhaka North City Corporation and two in Dhaka South City Corporation, according to a press release issued today by the DGHS Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room.
