China-Bangladesh health and medical development expo held in Dhaka
The expo aimed to introduce the Bangladeshi public to modern Chinese medical systems, hospital services, and healthcare technologies.

A day-long exhibition titled "Ni Hao! China-Bangladesh Health and Medical Development Expo" was held today (8 August) at Hotel Sarina in Banani, Dhaka.
The event was organised by the Belt and Road Healthcare Center, Bangladesh, with support from the Chinese Medical Alumni Association of Bangladesh, China–Bangladesh Postgraduate Doctors Alumni Association, and the organisation Amra Nari, reads a press release.
The expo aimed to introduce the Bangladeshi public to modern Chinese medical systems, hospital services, and healthcare technologies.
Representatives, doctors, and healthcare professionals from more than twelve leading hospitals in China participated in the event. They provided visitors with health consultations, medical screenings, and information about a range of healthcare services.
Visitors had the opportunity to receive both on-site and online consultations from Chinese specialists. They were also provided with information about medical invitation letters, visa assistance, and free translation services. Additionally, full logistical support including airport pickup was highlighted as part of the medical travel services offered.
Several well-known Chinese hospitals took part in the exhibition. These included Boao Yiling Hospital, Fosun Health, Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital, Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital, Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital, Guangzhou Shengmei Hospital, Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital, Kunming Tongren Hospital, Modern Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, and Xing Mei Hospital, also located in Guangzhou.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests. Among them were Nurjahan Begum, adviser to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh; Yao Wen, ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bangladesh; and Li Shaopeng, cultural counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.
Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, chief adviser's special assistant at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Brigadier General Dr Md Munirul Islam, director general of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), were also present.
A 35-member delegation from various Chinese hospitals and medical equipment manufacturers also participated in the event.
